I was visiting Lakewood for years before I adjusted to the fact that most of the streets are 25mph.

 Ken - That's true about the 25mph in most spots around here...and I'm a backseat driver when not behind the wheel myself. We were stopped for....something else... which was also news to me... :-) I'll tell by weeks end.

Al...I actually think Cops are good in general...in fact, My nephew is a NY State Trooper. This Lakewood Patrol was very very nice. ;-)

We were pulled over because my friend had put the reg tag on front license plate...and it had just expired last month. The Officer was quite nice and let us go without any ticket...just a polite warning. Whew!  I accompanied my buddy to DMV on Monday to make sure she didn't procrastinate on this one anymore... :)
