I think it is all timing. There have been times when I haven't had to wait on the phone too long, luckily I have a flat rate plan, so it's only eating time. The billing thing is new. I usually qualify for a "means" test that allows me to be 100% covered between medicare and VA, but the local medical center has been going through a process of change, and forgot to send out the paperwork to renew things in Jan.
All in all, I think they do the best they can with what they have to work with...there are a lot of us. I always Knock on Wood when dealing with the VA and Feds...or AT&T...lol any big machine really. Yup, not sure I trust the VA, to say they have treated me well or even fair, but the medical staff at Louis Stokes VAMC has treated me very well.
