Lea, I'm watching your vid and I'm thinkin' about your "club" analogy...We should have people from each site do some kind of fun face-offs the way some bars do- some kind of friendly competition. THAT would not only connect us all in a fun way, but it'd also create some hilarious vids and we maybe could get some interesting match-ups going that would generate a lot of excitement.
I'm not familiar enough with the YouTube crowd at all, but I'd wager to bet it wouldn't be too hard to get going if the right folks (from each site) took it on and started the ball rolling.
Just an idea.
