interesting example with honda.....corporate america is wrestling with how to use social networks. unexpected outcomes send chills down the backs of marketing management. it's going to take time to restructure corporations....younger people entering the fray will help steer the way....outstanding vlog Tom.

....one of my personal favorite writings from the Lao Tzu period:
"Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people's approval and you will be their prisoner. Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity"

Hi ya Tom, I hope Honda and many other corporations see this video. From what I have witnessed on YT with these corporate accounts is that they block comments and that tells a big story that they don't want any negative feedback to be public. Oprah did it, the american government channels including the swine flu updates (which should definitely be open for discussion) they are all exerting quote "unintelligent" control" intentionally. In a perfect online world I'd love to see this idea you speak of come to fruition before corporations adopt past negative behavior and current negative behavior as seen on facebook as you mentioned.

Very interesting...
It makes a lot of sense then that "corporate culture" is a very important too in creating intelligent control. Yes it can still be top down driven but it is also adopted and supported by internal influence of peers. Very interesting.

I love reading books too i read all sorts.. Currently reading a book on disaster capitalism called "The Shock Doctrine", I also have a Stephen Fry, a british comedian's book about his travels over all 50 states in the US and I have a pile of thriller books to read. I shall have to check out this book you are talking about!

Interesting. Controlling control always appeared to me like the best way to manage any given group, but also one of the hardest things to achieve. One must be absolutely sure of his capabilities in order to "let go" and get the best out of a leading group, without ever stepping down from his own dominant position. One of the most important managing rules, in my opinion.

Brilliant. So glad the world is finally changing, and growing out of it's old myths, misconseptions and fears. They have plagued humanity far to long, time for some new ones! :)

@Ish, oddly, the London underground is the oldest subway in the world, at around 150'ish years old, it just gets up dated every decade or so
