I saw this article and thought this community of vlogging pioneers would find it interesting. The value of our medium is starting to be recognized.

It's very exciting, Tom. I see every day almost that the "Establishment" has to change its behavior due to video reporting from the crowd. Case in point - the police chief at UC Davis just got suspended due to video of her officers pepper-spraying peaceful protesters recently going viral on the Internet. One has to wonder whether the suspension would have happened if the video had not been shot.
Comment by Tom Guarriello [Co-Founder] on November 21, 2011 at 7:19pm That suspension never would never have happened without video, Steve.

Comment by Suja on November 21, 2011 at 7:54pm @Tom Guarriello - Do you foresee governments trying to limit internet access to some degree in the near future?
Comment by Star on November 21, 2011 at 8:19pm I think there will come a time video bloggers will need a licenses to upload videos. What a cash cow that's going to be ; )
