The sneaky thing that happens is that the feds give less to the states, the states less to the municipalities and the municipalities raise your taxes. My property taxes went up 4.7%, and the schools are having to make cuts. Since property taxes pay the lions share for the schools we pay more and get less.

My pet peeve is all the renters who pay no real estate property taxes yet readily vote in increased tax levies to fund the education of their children.

Yes, and personally I agree with a tax increase and support the Obama Administration, and say crush the non believers. Who if they really oppose taxes so much they can always move to Iceland.

Your taxes go direct into the pockets of the bankers who run wall street and federal reserve not to helping pay for improvements to healthcare etc a percentage of this money is then LOANED WITH INTEREST back to the government by the PRIVATE federal reserve. The remaining trillions goes to bailing out the likes of AIG and to banker's fat cat bonuses let it be known that Geitner the president of the federal reserve has just went through a hearing for having been caught pocketing $200 billion dollars for himself he gave himself a "waiver" they are a law unto themselves sickening!! I will not support a government full of crooks robbing the taxpayer and whether you like it or not that is what's happening.

Lee, renters end up paying higher rent in the long run as the higher property taxes paid by the landlord get passed on.

If anybody believed that statement in the first place, they are stupid. It was clearly a lie the first time he said it because of all the things he wanted to do..... His plans were so vast there was no way he was not going to raise taxes.....
