VloggerHeads

Yes, another FaceBook tag meme turned VloggerHeads blog... This time the topic is "15 Albums." I'm going to take "Album" to mean LP. Yeah, "LP." That stands for what us old fogies knew as Long Playing, 33 rpm, vinyl disks, 12 inches in diameter, also once known as "records."

Here now, in no particular order, and without any commentary, are my 15 Albums:

1 - David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

2 - Warren Zevon - Warren Zevon

3 - The Who - Quadrophenia

4 - The Who - Who's Next

5 - Derek & The Dominos - Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs

6 - Pat Metheny Group - American Garage

7 - John Lennon - Walls and Bridges

8 - Joe Walsh - The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get

9 - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Damn the Torpedoes

10 - The Moody Blues - A Question of Balance

11 - Wishbone Ash - Argus

12 - Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards

13 - The Kinks - Muswell Hillbillies

14 - The Kinks - Lola Vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround

15 - The Kinks - Present a Soap Opera, Featuring Norman and the Starmaker

Bonus Five Comedy Albums:

1 - David Frye - Richard Nixon: A Fantasy

2 - Bill Cosby - Is A Very Funny Fellow... Right!

3 - George Carlin - FM & AM

4 - Albert Brooks - A Star is Bought

5 - Allen Sherman - My Son, The Nut

Rodriguez - Cold Fact
Eagles - Hotel California
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Pink Floyd - The Wall

Just to name a few that would be WAY higher on my list than they are on your's ;-)

Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell (not no others by him!)

@Marihani - All great choices (except, maybe, the one I'm not familiar with, "Cold Fact") - I tried to do this list as quickly as possible without going back and editing. Had I started to do that ("What? No Floyd? No Beatles? No ...?") I never would have finished the list. If I'm asked to do the same exercise a week from now it will likely be a completely different list.

The Kinks - Soap Opera - haven't heard that since I played my last vinyl about 15 years ago!

Rodriguez - Cold Fact - a one-hit wonder ALBUM. VERY nice - very with the times and still very nice to listen to. I would suspect it is available on Amazon.com. As for you kinky guys! LOL! Sorry! Depeche Mode, Midge Ure and others were more on my list :-)

Strangely, I can't think of a Beatles album I would add - hmmm - wrong - Sgt. Pepper! Yeah - that should be there.

Hearing Marihani mention Sixto Rodriguez' Cold Fact reminds me of another uniquity:

You were obviously a Kinks fan. I had Carlin's AM/FM. Of course the "Class Clown" album was absolutely golden and the 7 words will live forever.

@Blackie Lawless The 7 words were on Class Clown? I typed FM&AM thinking that was the album. What about Hair Poem? Which one was that on? Ah, put 'em both on the list!

As for Beatles albums, had I put any it would have been a tough choice between Sgt. Pepper, Let it Be, and (white album).

Beatles? Revolver. Period.

I'd love to visit Alaska, it seems fascinating from everything I've read and seen. I've thought about moving there, but then-- after living in Florida for some 26 years, I'm sure it'd be quite a culture shock... and I'd freeze my booties off! lol St…

I agree with William T about your character, Jim. It's great to see. As for my redneck card, well, I've got my "Don't Tread on Me" flag in the shop. And I do own guns. I've hunted all my life (pheasants and quail). Nowadays I root for the quail and…
