During the upcoming vote we will be deciding on the changes to the GP. As always, they are changeable if they turn out to be insufficient or wrong.

Basically, there are three categories:

1. Articles that will be deleted

2. Articles that will be deleted and replaced by a new article.

3. Articles that will be changed in part.

Most changes are the result of the transition to self-ownership. Factually that means:

1. We remove the founders from any administration of the site.

2. We introduce the positions of Ownership Representatives and assign duties and prerogatives.

The other changes are the result of reducing the number of members on the administration. The idea behind that is not so much the possible lack of appropriate candidates, but rather to make the community more aware, that self-ownership comes with the call to more self-accountability.

We own it, we pay for it, we make the content and we set the tone. This will no longer be a playground set up by Tom and Paul for whatever (changing) reasons they might have had, but a community place set up for reasons we should be aware of - because they are solely our reasons.

For your overview, I add the link below to a modified version of the GP. Articles to be deleted are formatted "strike through". Articles to be replaced are formatted red and strike through. Articles to be changed are formatted red with the changes worked in. I will post the replacements of category two articles in separate blogs.

All in all, we will have about 10 proposals to be voted on individually.

Please comment.

EDIT: With the help of A6, the document has now been purged of all terminology remnant of the old GP - but please do check again if you're so inclined.

There are still some outdated things in your version, I think... Some minor semantic stuff, like if we remove "Proposals to Founders", then "Other Proposals" should just be "Proposals," as they're the only kind of proposals left.

But also more substantial stuff like, "Registered voters who run for the positions of Administrator and Moderator must provide the Founders with a verifiable name, offline address and telephone number" in Article 2 and "The registered voters can appeal to the founders
via a proposal." in 3.2

Article 2: "Administrators can at any given time make the "registered voter" status of an account,
granted or applied for, subject to a vote by the registered voters "when it has been
challenged by no less than 10% of the registered voters through a proposal to
challenging the accounts identity," as is the rule for anonymous accounts. The
registered voter status of the account will be suspended until the outcome of the vote.
Administrators can only do so jointly." <---also doesn't work without us having admins anymore

Article 3.2 "The registered voters appoint the administrators, the moderators and the voting
committee as their representatives via vote." <----should remove "the administrators

Thank you, Marcel.  In addition to the points raised by a6, consider the following:

In both the table and the body of the document ----

Re-number the sections and sub-sections under Article 3 - from 3.2, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.6.1, 3.6.2 and 3.63 to 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3, 3.4, 3.4.1, 3.4.2 and 3.4.3, respectively - as sections and sub-sections are being deleted.

Re-number the sub-sections under 4.3 , since 4.31 is being deleted.

Re-number sub-section 4.7, since 4.6 is being deleted
