Comment by Vitalfinds on February 27, 2012 at 7:46am @Marcel - I don't know how this compares to Democrats, but the Republican party has a considerable number of naturalized citizens who are actively involved in the Republican party to help make sure that the US doesn't turn into a socialized country.
Comment by Jay1p on February 27, 2012 at 9:34am As luck would have it, I ran across this article published just yesterday about Scottish independence. Granted, I didn't have the stomach for alll three pages. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/27/opinion/independence-for-scotland...
@PB - Contrary to what you might think, unlike you, I did not have to google this topic to come up with obscure facts to make an asinine point that only USA news is relevant. I ran across it in my natural curiosity about the world. Maybe Scotland won't shake the world, but the Euro- mess and the middle east have things going on that can affect us all. I would give you more credit for knowing those facts, but proof positive that you googled them is the fact that you spelled Uzbekistan correctly. Otherwise you would have surely spelled it "U-BET-YOU-CAN". hehe
Comment by Jay1p on February 27, 2012 at 9:36am Btw, PB you are too much fun! Don't move a muscle.

Comment by JohnAintWright on February 27, 2012 at 10:05am I feel for these other countries who have our news and politics jammed down their throats on tv
Comment by Vitalfinds on February 27, 2012 at 10:15am I'm deprived. I've never left the country except to go to Niagra Falls, but I've been from Maine to San Francisco. Oh, and there was Cancun.
Comment by Marcel on February 27, 2012 at 10:39am One thing I forgot to mention: during the World Cup in South Africa, that event was a site wide craze on VH and several Americans participated and watched some matches, even after the US team was out!
Personally, I find it very interesting to follow the ardent tribalism dividing democrats and republicans.
Comment by Jay1p on February 27, 2012 at 10:42am Yes Vital, We'll always have Cancun won't we?
