An inspired narrative...

A new style of poetry for me, usually don't write like this.

It's funny how things turn out. You see that window?

Yeah, it's broken. No one knows what broke it.

It wasn't long after it was made, that it was broken.

Probably some sudden impact or trauma that shattered it.

As corbels line the ministry of thoughts I cannot shake.

The pea-green shades of infamy have wrought unwieldy pyres

Now or Never

Something I wrote five years ago, today.

Now or Never

On a day known as Now,

under a bridge that was Tomorrow,

lived a man whose life

was spent in shadow.

Willing to concede the chance

of a brighter tomorrow,

he was content to wait

Urge

At an early age, I loved to fly.

I had a never-ending passion

to climb onto couches

or dressers in my house

and jump off.

As I got older, maybe 8,

I discovered the beauty and the freedom

of the outdoors. I would hunger

for bigger, better, higher things

to propel from. I tried trees,

A Redneck Love Poem...by...shoot...ain't nobody know by who.

Susie Lee done fell in love,

She planned to marry Joe.

She was so happy 'bout it all,

She told her pappy so.
