An inspired narrative...

A new style of poetry for me, usually don't write like this.

It's funny how things turn out. You see that window?

Yeah, it's broken. No one knows what broke it.

It wasn't long after it was made, that it was broken.

Probably some sudden impact or trauma that shattered it.

It was hazy originally, you couldn't quite see things clearly through it.

Of course, the window didn't have a clue. From its point of view, everything was…

Now Evening, Come the Drums

I have gathered a verse in epitaph to ponder as I wait

As corbels line the ministry of thoughts I cannot shake.

The pea-green shades of infamy have wrought unwieldy pyres

And battlements in symmetry are lined with well-armed liars.

Now evening, come the drums.

You writhe amidst the holy men in places filled with dew

To captivate the artistry of exiles far and few

As ever-truncheoned diplomats have whipped into a…

Now or Never

Something I wrote five years ago, today.

Now or Never

On a day known as Now,

under a bridge that was Tomorrow,

lived a man whose life

was spent in shadow.

Willing to concede the chance

of a brighter tomorrow,

he was content to wait

for it to come to him.

But as each day passed,

it was always Now,

and he made no effort

to ensure his Tomorrow.

When his life had passed,

it was a… Continue

Sketch Me

As I take my black hat catnap.

After the twenty fifth rotation

of Earth around the sun

behind my shades

As I prowl through my dreams

a little low on gas,

no cop-- no stop,

" Xtra Sour "

A stub's ticket to new directions

still in my wallet.

Be sure to get my crew.

This band of gypsies welcomes you through

the well of mischief and colors anew.

Where the sun is a question

and inches are… Continue

At an early age, I loved to fly.

I had a never-ending passion

to climb onto couches

or dressers in my house

and jump off.

As I got older, maybe 8,

I discovered the beauty and the freedom

of the outdoors. I would hunger

for bigger, better, higher things

to propel from. I tried trees,

roofs, and diving boards,

launching off gave me

that feeling of flying,

free, with no chains of the real world,

like I could do anything without… Continue

A Redneck Love Poem...by...shoot...ain't nobody know by who.

Susie Lee done fell in love,

She planned to marry Joe.

She was so happy 'bout it all,

She told her pappy so.

Pappy told her, "Susie gal,

You'll have to find another.

I'd just as soon yo' ma don't know,

But Joe is yo' half brother."

So Susie put aside her Joe,

And planned to marry Will.

But after telling pappy this,

He said "there's trouble still."

"You can't marry Will my gal,

And please don't tell yo'… Continue

Poem 1: The Cave

The Cave

You tip toe in, in silence

Its dark and quiet

You stop and think

You hesitate

Your eyes are glancing like lazors

Your ears are catching every bit of motion

Curious but protective

The silence is scary

You here the air

You here your thoughts

And THAT petrifies you

The surrounding is mysterious

You wonder

You question

But nothing

Nothing but the unknown

makes you uneasy

makes… Continue

Forsake not Love

Condemn not thyself to never forgiving.

For love only knows forgiveness and the

fulfillment of doing so.

Take up thy shield of love and bathe in it.

For with this power we will posses the key

to all our loneliness.

Love so bright and pure that even the damned

will be filled with its awsome light.

Speak always of love...

For love itself can never be… Continue
