An inspired narrative...
A new style of poetry for me, usually don't write like this.
It's funny how things turn out. You see that window?
Yeah, it's broken. No one knows what broke it.
It wasn't long after it was made, that it was broken.
Probably some sudden impact or trauma that shattered it.
It was hazy originally, you couldn't quite see things clearly through it.

Now Evening, Come the Drums
I have gathered a verse in epitaph to ponder as I wait
As corbels line the ministry of thoughts I cannot shake.
The pea-green shades of infamy have wrought unwieldy pyres
And battlements in symmetry are lined with well-armed liars.
Now evening, come the drums.
You writhe amidst the holy men in places filled with dew
To captivate the artistry of exiles far and few
