Victory: Internet Censorship Bill is Delayed, For Now

Deeplink by Tim Jones

This morning's Politico brought with it great news for those who care about free speech and fair use online:

A markup on SJC Chairman Leahy’s IP infringement bill was postponed late Wednesday, as staffers anticipated the chamber would finish legislative work and adjourn for recess… Continue

The Tea Kettle Movement

This guy makes sense of the Tea Party.

There are actually two Tea Party movements in America today: one you’ve read about that is not that important and one you’ve not read about that could become really important if the right politician understood how to tap into it.

Josh Haner/The New York Times

The Tea Party that has gotten all the attention, the amorphous, self-generated protest against the growth in government and the deficit, is what I’d… Continue

Could it be?

Could it be? Taylor B is back? I thought he died years ago!

I apologize for the lack of involvement in the vloggerheads community. I have gone through some difficult times this year. I have to say that this year has been my worst year by far. I hope to get back on the horse and start vlogging again.

P.S. - Missed you guys!

I'm Concerned...

... that I'm becoming an alcoholic.

Again.

This pattern I'm starting, the same one that I followed after my father's funeral, is so very familiar to me. It starts with me feeling depressed when I sit in my apartment, alone and sober, and can't sleep without a couple of drinks in my system. Unless I can think of some way to stave off the inevitable, it ends with me trying to wade through an ocean of liquor bottles on my floor, falling over, and ending up with shattered… Continue

Wall Street Business Report

Sorry I have not been very active on the site lately. I had to get my car inspected this month and it cost me over $2000.00 to have it pass inspection. I'm working overtime to recover from this financial blow. Fortunately, I've been turning my attention to Philadelphia and had the bright idea of looking for a business relationship within the area. I quickly found another freelancer who is swamped with work and formed a profitable relationship. That reminds me. Just before the car inspection I… Continue

Inspire the kids

I don't know what your teachers set you to do when you were about 8 when it came to descriptive writing.

I think we had to describe Autumn leaves or something ordinary like that.

Today I was talking to a new American student at work and she happened to say that when she was 8 her school history class had to write a descriptive letter.

The letter was to an imaginary relative of a donner party victim. She had to describe why she had eaten their… Continue

PiP's THONG

Pip's thong was mailed today. "It takes about a week" is the U.S. postal prediction.
I'm sure we are all eagerly awaiting the forthcoming video.

Urban Exploration

When I was young, I used to love exploring abandoned buildings and new ones under construction. One favorite was an old school house; books, desks, mouse nests, bottles...

The adventures ended a long time ago when I realized that I was lucky to walk away with just a long scrape on my right arm and some very painful bruises.

Urban exploration is not only dangerous but illegal! Just a few things to consider before even thinking of indulging in the hobby: mold, asbestos,… Continue

Things are looking up!

Well today I became employed hooray! So i will be around less, actually i've hardly been around much lately because of a few reasons, firstly - i've been jobhunting. Which has now paid off thankfully. Secondly - I've been trying to get my band together. My social life has picked up a bit and thirdly - I passed my audition to get into the Operatic Society. All in all i'm really happy. I've also lost a pile of weight and feel great!!

I Swear, I'm Not Suicidal

Really, I'm not.

Random though this declaration may seem, there's reason it comes up. Starting this afternoon, my day was a giant ball of stress (damned early bills being sprung on me without warning), and my usual response is to bury myself in some Palahniuk and remember to stop caring; about pretty much everything entirely. An interesting (or unfortunate, for some) side-effect of this process is a habit I have anyways, but becomes more prevalent during moments of intense stress: I… Continue
